Agbar Tower by Jean Nouvel

As the largest city on Mediterranean shore, Barcelona has undergone drastic urban changes, that haven't arrived  without powerful  impact on its people. Already in 1888, the Universal Exhibition opened a new era for the  Catalan capital city, and 1929's International  Exhibition modernized transportation and urbanized Montjuic. But  nothing compared to 1992's Olympic Games, which situated our town on  a world class level and improved life  quality objectively. Years after, based on 3 virtuous axles such as sustainable development, culture  of peace  and multicultural societies, was carried out the Forum of Cultures 2004. This moved substantially the gravity  point of Barcelona in  north-east direction, confirming Engineer Cerda's theory of Glòries square, to become our  future downtown. Discover with us all these new  projects –still ongoing-, recently launched in an area where  high-tech and Media University mingles with renewed industrial facilities. Hello  22@!

We should feel quite lucky, being born here on the Mediterranean shore actually, but when you do, you hardly pay attention to these kinds of advantages.
Being Mediterranean, isn’t only a privileged geographical origin, but it distinguishes a very concrete culture deeply rooted for so many centuries, that we sometimes forget that we owe this recognition to our ancestors. Visitors from other places fall in fascination for this culture, and they often, by pure instinct, wish to retire from their overstressed societies, to settle down around here, no matter where, but by the Mediterranean sea. This one is a lifestyle, which main guarantee is the medical theory that it fosters a higher longevity.
From that point of view, we certainly believe that to enjoy the benefits of our environment, we should get aware of the substantial aspects of our “modus vivendi”: our daily customs, our education, our way of celebrating, and furthermore, our way of communicating with each-other. We are therefore convinced, that it won’t only be a very rewarding experience for those who visit us but also for the ones who live here and come from elsewhere. It might open their eyes. Welcome, smarties!

Mediterranean Lifestyle - 5 days / 4 nights -

This experience is framed into our Cultural Trends section. We're proud of having gathered for you, different elements that make our life quite pleasant. It is a symbiosis of what many people here practice weekly and your affinities as an experienced traveler or connoisseur of life pleasures. You can find an introduction of this life philosophy in our web contents, to define better what we'd like you to acquaint. Happy late and peaceful evenings...

1st Episode: Across the pond

Depending on your arrival time in town, after we’ll collect you at BCN airport and transfer you to the centric luxury Hotel, you’ll have time to relax and explore the surroundings of your home in town. We will provide you with enough ideas and proposals on that regard. Get together with your host in the evening and the other components of the group, for traditional Vermouth with appetizers. Once reinforced, there’ll be a walking around the area to familiarize you with the district we are in. Due to jet lag circumstances, we’ll have an early evening, just for today.

2nd Episode: Art, style & fun

Barman72dp1.jpg

We presume that some of you have already visited the main architect’s highlights in Barcelona, so in this case we’d love to present you other constructions such as the Finca Güell gate, the Crypt of Santa Coloma de Cervelló or the Güell Cellars near Barcelona. We call it the Unknown Gaudi, as it intends to unveil works less famous but representative, that most people ignore. We will even have lunch (depending on group size <12 pax) in a Restaurant located in a building designed by himself. This afternoon, after a little time for a nap –crucial-, we’ll cruise through the emblematic buildings that compose the new city skyline, in a resumed tour of the Top Architecture Works. Connected with that, we believe that a stroll through the best and most characteristic shops in town deserves a shopping specialist, so in an optional way for those interested, we’ll present the new Passeig de Gràcia and its glamorous boutiques, but we won’t only stay there, we’ll show you the most exclusive artisans. Dinner will be served in the harbor, enjoying our local fish specialties. Don’t worry, there’s a fitness centre and pool close to the room! Once we’ve had time to recover and refresh, we are ready for the Nightlife with Style. The city has many clubs with a splendid view, but the one we’ll choose has a VIP entrance waiting for you, plus a private table with drinks and snacks to accommodate you. Time to dance! Bona Nit…

3rd Episode: Sweet tooth and smoke

What is better than enjoying a long and lazy morning after a busy evening? There isn’t any program before noon, where we’ll offer a delicious brunch to get you going. Our next step is the dream of any Chocoholic, tasting several kinds of chocolate, in a city like ours who doesn’t save any moment to bite sweetness. For those who don’t care so much about, there are several brandies and local sweet wines to match with. It is all over Europe more and more difficult to find people smoking, but we have a solution for the mavericks: we’ll visit a club for pipe/cigar smokers in order to research the links between our land and Cuba or the Dominican Republic. A specialist in real tobacco shall tell us stories and advice us how to enjoy those famous Cigar delights. The remainder of the evening can be spent in beautiful and cozy cocktail establishments in downtown.

4th Episode: Pine trees & blue sea fragrance

We are moving out of town today, as we head to the beautiful town of Tossa de Mar, where a yacht will be waiting for us. We sail therewith further north, to show you along beautiful coves and sumptuous villas. We’ll have a light lunch on board with champagne and we’ll hopefully enjoy the sunny weather. Once we disembark, we’ll ride to the beautiful town of Girona, where the movie “the Perfume” was filmed. It is an excellent setting to present you our experience Scents of the Mediterranean, an invitation to discover the world of smells. A specialist in perfumes –a very developed activity in these counties-, will give us tuition around this fabulous universe, an undeletable memory. Back to the city, we will enjoy a farewell dinner with our companions in a traditional Catalan restaurant.

5th Episode: Return to our nest

According to your flight time, we’ll transfer you back to the airport of BCN, as it is time to fly home. We wish you an excellent trip.

Spanish NightlifeLeisure occupies an increasingly important place in our lives, and in today’s modern cities, night-life has a significant role to play in it.
When we’re at home, we’ll often go out in the evenings to the theatre, to see a concert or a film, or perhaps have dinner with friends or go dancing.
